AISO's data center and office is powered by on-site solar panels within two arrays which generates our electricity. This grid is owned and operated by AISO to power our data center and office. They are the first and only 100% completely solar powered, carbon free hosting company that does not use energy credits. AISO choose to use the air to provide Internet conductivity and uses existing wireless internet towers, some of which are solar powered. They have three separate Internet backbones which are carrier grade wireless FCC Licensed links, similar to the wireless links most telephone and government agency's use. The green data center is environmentally friendly in design. Walls are over 12 inches thick and filled with insulation that has recycled content. When the need for lighting occurs we use energy-efficient LED lighting instead of Compact Fluorescent or Fluorescent Light Bulbs . They built their green data center, network and servers from the start to use the lowest amount of energy possible using the latest green design techniques, no other hosting company can do what they do without starting from scratch. Plus they are powered by the sun, water, and air, now that is something you can't find anywhere else.
The data center uses both fiber optic and FCC licensed wireless links to provide the best possible redundancy. To prevent a fiber cut that they have employed wireless Internet which uses the air instead of the ground for our Internet conductivity.
